The challenge
Roofing companies do not all operate the same way. Pricing varies by company and territory. Travel distance matters. Each business has its own pricing tables, minimums, service areas, markups and qualification rules.
Every manual step between an incoming enquiry and a booked appointment also creates another opportunity for the customer to disappear. The challenge was not simply to build an estimator. It was to build a reusable platform that could accommodate different roofing businesses without becoming difficult to configure.
02 / Build
What we built
We built a self-service, white-label platform that allowed each roofing company to define the business logic behind its lead-to-booking workflow.
Instead of rebuilding the automation for every company, the operating rules became configurable.
- Pricing structures and estimate ranges
- Service territories and geographic adjustments
- Distance-based pricing rules
- Qualification logic
- Scheduling behaviour
- CRM configuration
Example ruleIf a property falls outside the normal service radius, the platform applies that company’s configured travel adjustment to the estimate.

How it works
- 01Lead arrives
- 02Customer and property data captured
- 03Company rules applied
- 04Estimate range generated
- 05Customer qualifies themselves
- 06Appointment scheduled
- 07CRM updated

Outcomes
7 workflow stages consolidated into one configurable customer journey.
One configurable workflow connected seven major stages: lead capture, data collection, pricing, estimating, qualification, scheduling and CRM handoff.
The platform supported multiple categories of business rules without hard-coding those rules for every new roofing company.
Customer-discovery inputs, including direct conversations with potential users, were used to reduce assumptions about how the system should be configured.
A controlled revenue or conversion study was not performed, so we do not publish an invented percentage.
05 / Value
Why it matters
Many service businesses already spend money generating demand. But a lead is not revenue.
Revenue leaks when estimating takes too long, qualification requires manual effort, scheduling creates back-and-forth or employees repeatedly transfer information between systems. Sometimes the highest-leverage improvement is shortening the path between interest and booked work.
06 / Pattern
Where else it applies
The rules change. The underlying path remains: lead, qualification, estimate, booking, CRM, delivery.
Could this work here?
Could this work in your business?
If your business already generates demand but loses opportunities between the first enquiry and the booked job, there may be more revenue inside the process you already have.
